The best way to do things

Newsletter

Dear friend,

When we're faced with a global problem like climate change or when we see people, animals, or nature suffer it's natural to want to do something about it, to want to help. There are many things one can do to help a cause they're passionate about but isn't it better to do the most effective thing? This week we're discussing if it's better to donate to impactful organisations instead of buying expensive "sustainable" goods.

Cute pup isn't it? But unfortunately, he's very expensive to train. The training costs for guide dogs for blind people can go up to $50,000, while eliminating Trachoma, the world’s leading cause of infectious blindness, would cost $1 billion. Which brings us to a similar question as above.

Here's an easier question to answer: Is the Ugandan charity StrongMinds changing local women's lives for the better? They definitely are. StrongMinds is an organisation that is treating women with depression so they can contribute to their families and the society.
